Strengthen your immune system so you stay healthy throughout the rest of the year!
As the temperature drops and the air gets drier, it’s easier for us to get tired and sick. Therefore it’s that much more essential that we look after our immune system so we stay healthy, strong, and energized throughout the rest of the year.
There are many ways to boost your immune system, and as many of us already know, eating healthy food is a natural way to gain nutrients that are needed to strengthen our body’s defense system.
While you can easily get your nutrients from your regular meals, I personally love to drink my nutrients.
A cup of smoothie/juice/tea is packed with essential nutrients and vitamins since you’ll be drinking the concentrated form from all the ingredients. Smoothies and juices are also easier on the stomach (especially if you have weak digestion) because everything is already processed and it will be much easier for your stomach to absorb the nutrients. Plus, they’re so easy to make!
That’s why today, I wanted to to share 6 ways you can drink your nutrients this fall, and get your body prepared for the colder days to come. By winter, your immune system will be much stronger and you’ll be able to get by with little or no sickness at all!

Lemon & ginger tea
This is a personal favorite, and this is the first thing I make when I feel like I’m about to come down something. Lemon is full of antioxidants and vitamin C and helps soothe inflammation. Ginger is great for blood circulation and even a common remedy for nausea.
How I make lemon & ginger tea:
I like to slice a small knob of ginger into small pieces and pair it with one or two slices of lemon. Add to cup with a spoonful of raw honey. Add hot water, stir, and enjoy. Your body will immediately thank you.
Green tea has become a very popular alternative to coffee, for its incredible health benefits and the lack of ‘crash’ that comes with a regular cup-of-joe. It’s also great for boosting your immune system. Green tea is chock full of antioxidants (EGCG) which have shown to enhance the immune system.
Leafy greens such as spinach, kale, lettuce, arugula are filled with vitamins A, K, and C, calcium, copper, potassium, and magnesium - aka nutritious AF.

Greek yogurt is full of probiotics that helps reduce inflammation and fight off diseases. It’s also a great source of vitamin D. When choosing Greek yogurt, make sure to get plain ones over the sweetened or flavored ones to avoid unnecessary additives.
